Hearing Tests in Melbourne, FL
Hearing Aid Evaluations
A hearing aid evaluation is the second step after a hearing exam to determine what hearing aid will be the right match for you. A case history will be taken to understand your day-to-day activities and what kind of environments you are in most. Using your answers and the results recorded on your audiogram, our audiologists will work with you to find a hearing aid that matches your unique needs.
Hearing Aid Fitting
Well fit and programmed hearing aids are a key component to better hearing. After you’ve selected your hearing aids, our hearing specialists will professionally fit them to your unique ear shape, so they sit comfortably yet securely in/around the ear, depending on the style you choose. We will then program the hearing aid software based on your degree of hearing loss. Programming hearing aids is more than just amplification, we want to ensure they can meet the demands of your everyday life.
We encourage you to come back into our office for follow-up appointments after your initial hearing aid fitting. This way we can fine-tune your devices to your exact needs.

Industrial Hearing Screenings
Industrial hearing screenings are an essential part of workplace health and safety, especially in environments where employees are regularly exposed to high levels of noise. These quick and efficient evaluations help identify early signs of hearing loss, ensuring workers receive timely support and intervention. Regular screenings not only protect employee well-being but also help companies stay compliant with OSHA regulations and reduce the risk of work-related hearing damage.
Hearing Protection
Loud noise exposure is one of the most common causes of hearing loss in people of all ages. It’s important to avoid excessive noise exposure, but when that is inevitable, you should wear hearing protection such as earmuffs or earplugs. Whether you work in an occupation where noise levels can be dangerous, or you enjoy hobbies where it gets loud, hearing protection is designed for everyone and every need.
At Two Rivers Hearing, we can fit earmolds for hearing protection. For more advanced options, we can provide recommendations on products and where to get them. To learn more about hearing protection and how to find the right option for you, please contact us!
Hearing Aid Repairs
Hearing aids are durable devices, but sometimes they do require repairs. If your hearing aids are not performing their best, bring them in for a maintenance check. Our team are experts in hearing aid technology and can fix most issues in the office, often during the same day. If your hearing aids have experienced severe damage, they may need to be sent to the manufacturer to be repaired.
We recommend bringing your hearing aids in every six months for a professional deep cleaning and maintenance check. This will ensure you get the most out of your devices and they last you for many years to come.

VNG Balance Testing
Videonystagmography (VNG) testing is a diagnostic tool used to evaluate balance and dizziness issues by measuring involuntary eye movements, known as nystagmus. During the test, specialized goggles track eye movements while the patient follows visual targets or experiences changes in head and body position. This helps our audiologists assess how well the inner ear and brain are working together to maintain balance.
VNG testing is a valuable resource in identifying the root cause of dizziness, vertigo, or imbalance, leading to more accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.

SMART Balance Manager™
Our NeuroCom SMART Balance Manager™ performs Computerized Dynamic Posturography (CDP) balance testing. CDP is the only method validated by controlled research studies to isolate the functional contributions of vestibular inputs, visual inputs, somatosensory inputs, central integrating mechanisms, and neuromuscular system outputs for postural and balance control. In about 50% of people with chronic balance disorders traditional diagnostic tests are inconclusive because there is no single localized cause for their condition. The NeuroCom SMART Balance Manager™ CDP is “the” only system with the reliability and specificity high enough to be used for the research of balance disorders.
