Dr. Rahe received his Doctor of Audiology Degree (Au.D.) from Nova Southeastern University and his Masters degree in Audiology from the University of Florida. He practiced audiology in South Florida for over 40 years before semi-retiring to beautiful Melbourne Beach in 2021. He currently is the Chair of the Florida Board of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology (the Florida licensing board). In addition to his private practice, Dr. Rahe also served on the faulty of  the University of Florida Au.D. program, the Nova Southeastern University Au.D. program and was an instructor in Forensic and Investigative Audiology for the Arizona School of Health Sciences Au.D. program. He has delivered more than 40 professional presentations to local, state and national audiology conventions. Dr. Rahe is a Past President of the Florida Academy of Audiology. He is also a Past-President of the Florida Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (FLASHA), and a recipient the Honors of that Association. He also received the Distinguished Alumni Award from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Rahe was instrumental in setting up infant hearing screening programs at several South Florida hospitals. He has participated in 20 humanitarian missions to provide audiology and hearing aid services in Appalachia, Guatemala, Nicaragua and Trinidad and Tobago. His clinical specialties include diagnostic audiological evaluations, balance disorders and fitting and dispensing hearing aids.
