Who We Are

Two Rivers Hearing is owned and operated by Dr. Angela Pinson. She opened our hearing clinic to better provide comprehensive hearing services to the people of Melbourne and the surrounding communities. Through our audiology and balance services, we are able to help individuals of all ages experience a better quality of life.

We have two convenient locations in Melbourne, on Dairy Road and Suntree Place. Both offer a wide range of hearing and balance services but in addition our Suntree office provides Physical Therapy services as well.

Dr. Angela Pinson

Audiologist | Owner

Dr. Angela Pinson has worked as an Audiologist in Brevard County for over 15 years. She opened Two Rivers Hearing in Melbourne, FL in August of 2018. Dr. Pinson specializes in complete hearing evaluations, functional communication assessments, industrial hearing screenings, vestibular assessments, and hearing aid fitting and repairs. She received her bachelor’s degree in speech pathology from Florida State University and her Doctorate in Audiology from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Pinson resides in Satellite Beach with her husband and two daughters where she enjoys riding bikes, boating, watching movies, and anything FSU.

Dr. Elyssa McRae

Audiologist

Dr. Elyssa McRae is a seasoned audiologist with a rich background in pediatric audiology, having dedicated over a decade of her career to improving the auditory health and communication abilities of children. Recently, Dr. McRae has transitioned to working with adult patients, bringing the same level of compassion and expertise to this new chapter.

Committed to enhancing the quality of life of individuals across a lifespan, Dr. McRae specializes in diagnostic audiology and personalized aural rehabilitative options. Since graduating from Nova Southeastern University with her Doctorate of Audiology in 2007, Dr. McRae has remained at the forefront of audiological advancements and patient care. Dr. McRae resides in Viera with her husband and daughter and enjoys all the warm weather activities that sunny Florida has to offer.

Dr. Frederick Rahe

Audiologist

Dr. Rahe received his Doctor of Audiology Degree (Au.D.) from Nova Southeastern University and his master’s degree in Audiology from the University of Florida. He practiced audiology in South Florida for over 40 years before semi-retiring to beautiful Melbourne Beach in 2021. He currently is the Chair of the Florida Board of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology (the Florida licensing board). In addition to his private practice, Dr. Rahe also served on the faculty of the University of Florida Au.D. program, the Nova Southeastern University Au.D. program and was an instructor in Forensic and Investigative Audiology for the Arizona School of Health Sciences Au.D. program. He has delivered more than 40 professional presentations to local, state and national audiology conventions.

Dr. Rahe is a Past President of the Florida Academy of Audiology. He is also a Past-President of the Florida Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (FLASHA), and a recipient of the Honors of that Association. He also received the Distinguished Alumni Award from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Rahe was instrumental in setting up infant hearing screening programs at several South Florida hospitals. He has participated in 20 humanitarian missions to provide audiology and hearing aid services in Appalachia, Guatemala, Nicaragua and Trinidad and Tobago.

His clinical specialties include diagnostic audiological evaluations, balance disorders, and fitting and dispensing hearing aids.

Dr. John Chonka

Audiologist

Doctor Chonka moved to South Florida in the spring of 1984 after earning his master’s degree in Audiology from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon. He moved there with his family of five and began his career as an audiologist with the Easter Seals of Ft Lauderdale. After a short while he took a position as an Educational Audiologist with the Broward County School system. There he tested and serviced the hearing needs of students in the hearing-impaired program. After eleven years he opened his own private practice providing audiological and amplification services to the local hearing-impaired community. During that time, he worked with several ENT physicians in Broward County where he also provided diagnostic testing and amplification services. He finished his career in Broward County working for South Florida ENT Associates. After ten years there he retired and moved to Melbourne Beach, with his wife and 21-year-old cat Bunny in July of 2021.

Currently, he is providing diagnostic audiologic services, part time, at Two Rivers Hearing. In between his work schedule he enjoys golf, fishing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Dr. John Ryan

Physical Therapist

John Ryan, PT, DHS is a graduate of the University of Indianapolis, Krannert School of Physical Therapy where he earned his Master of Science and later his Doctor of Health Science degree. John has over 25 years of experience as a physical therapist. His clinical practice and research interests are in the evaluation and treatment of disorders of the head and neck specializing in vestibular dysfunction as well as temporomandibular joint disease, along with fall prevention in the older adult population.

He is an experienced educator presenting seminars nationally in the areas of vestibular and balance dysfunction. John has attained competency certification in Vestibular Rehabilitation, and has published on the subjects of geriatrics, fall risk, health promotion and wellness. John has been blessed through his marriage of 30 years to his wife Nancy and their two daughters Delaney and Madelyn. John enjoys fitness, travel, woodworking and spending quality time with friends.

Michael Townsend

Physical Therapist

Michael Townsend, PT, is a dedicated and experienced physical therapist with over 20 years of clinical practice. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington and a master’s degree in Science from the University of Central Florida.

With two decades of experience in the field, Mike brings knowledge and expertise to his patients. His goal is always to create a compassionate, patient-centered environment, ensuring that each individual receives the tailored care they need to overcome challenges, regain their balance, and thrive.

As a member of the local community, Mike is committed to supporting the health and well-being of his neighbors and is dedicated to continuing his education to provide the most effective treatments available. His approach is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and a genuine desire to help patients return to their daily activities with confidence and ease.

Bethany Rinderknecht

Bethany Rinderknecht, PTA, graduated from Atlanta Technical College with an Associates of Science degree for Physical Therapist Assistant. A Florida native, Bethany relocated to Florida in 2023 after graduating and has worked in outpatient settings as well as home health in pediatrics. Bethany has a passion for helping people and improving their lives. She is a firm believer in hard work but having fun along the way. Bethany is married to her husband of 13 years, Michael and they have two children, Theo and Juliette. She enjoys the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with family.

“My name is Paige Hamilton. I am the newest addition to our Suntree location. I have a background and skills in multiple settings.  My most recent venture was in senior living as the lead concierge and loved every moment of it. I reside in Palm Bay with my husband of 9 years and our two beautiful girls and our fur baby. When I am not working, I love hanging out with my family and just having a good time whether it’s a day at the trampoline park or playground or just staying in and watching a movie. I am loving my new adventure here at Two Rivers and hope to become a great asset and help to the team and help each one of our patients new and existing with their hearing and physical therapy needs.”

“Hi, I’m Bella! I currently serve as the Front Desk Receptionist at Two Rivers Hearing and Audiology in Dairy. I’m a recent graduate from the University of Central Florida, where I earned my degree in Health Informatics and Information Management. Alongside my role at the front desk, I’m a passionate yoga teacher who deeply values the practice.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, crocheting, and spending time at the beach. With over five years of experience as a receptionist, I’m dedicated to providing excellent customer service and supporting you on your hearing journey. I look forward to assisting you!”
